Guest guest
My insurance did not either. I did 3 things. I wrote the insurance company and told them what I was missing and how dare they deny me the ability to hear when everyone that made that decision could hear. Did I not deserve what they had? I also had my employer write them and tell them that I needed the surgery to continue working. My doctor also wote. They caved in and paid for it. DO NOT GIVE UP> APPEAL. Hence, they wont pay for the surgery. This is totally absurd because without both BTE hearing aids my mom is completely deaf. She couldnt hear a valcano erupt. THe only reason why she is not considered " legally " deaf is because she can hear a VERY little with hear hearing aids. The bottomline is, if my mom is not qualified for this then NOBODY should be. Which brings me to the doctor. If the insurance company is claiming that there is not enough evidence for my mom that leads to me wonder what my mom's doctor is doing here. The audiograms should clearly prove that my mom should be approved. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated here. WHat could/should we do? Thanks as always. Guest guest
We just got word today that my mom has been approved! Apparently the doctor failed to submit an important piece of evidence that the insurance was looking for. Whew! The date is still set for the 23rd of this month. Thanks all. Guest guest
Hi . I had those pains off & on for months, literally!. I rarely have them now unless I push it like a few to many bites. But before they would come just from drinking or no reason at all really. I wouldn't be to concerned. It could even be gas build up in your intestines. Remember that the restriction of your band can vary, day to day even. How is your weight loss going? Are you losing regularly? Tight days also can cause that pain in your chest & side. Hope it subsides soon..Hang in there..Dana -------------- Original message -------------- From: "" <ashmay22@...> Hey everyone, I was banded on December 15, 2006. I started out at 186 pounds and a size 16 and after two fills am now down to 153 pounds and a size 8. I was wondering if anyone has experienced pain on their left side? I keep getting sharp pains on the left side of my body under my ribs, it feels similar to a side ache and sometimes causes me to not be able to get a deep breath or lay on that side. It's not a constant thing, but it seems to be happening more and more often. I thought maybe it was just happening after I ate, but now it seems to be happening at different times all throughout the day. I have also been PBing a lot, even though my last fill was a couple of months ago and this problem is just starting to happen now. My band is only filled to 2.1, so I dont think it is too tight, up until recently I have been able to eat somewhat normally. Are these two things something I should be worrying about? I wish I could go get a flouroscopy, but I just dont have the $350 to get it done around here. Has anyone experienced what I'm describing? Guest guest
Cyrena – awesome job of trimming your post !!!!! Notice how she only includes the information she is responding too. 7/18/05 280/180/140 ********************************************************** //I am in the research process. Do any of you bandsters live in Oklahoma? What is PBing?// Hi Beth, I live in North Dakota, not Oklahoma, but I can tell you what PBing is. I just had my first one of these about a month ago. I thought I had slimmed but then I figured out it was PB. I don't think I have slimmed yet??!!?? LOL Ok, PB (productive burp) When I eat, I have to burp for the food to go down. Air from my " big tummy " comes up and lets food down past the band. I was in a hurry one day and took to big of a bit and didn't chew, chew, chew. I was late for a meeting or I probably would have " worked " on it a little more but my tummy tried to burp and instead of air, I got that last bit of food. It wasn't like throwing up, no stomach wrenching or anything, just a burp that brought a bite of food instead of just air. By working on it, I mean...If I take too big of a bite or take that " one bite too many " I can usually stretch and sweat a lot and work on getting it down but I didn't have time for that in this case. I hope this very lengthy explanation helped :) Cyrena www.mylapbandjourney.com (240) 230/196/150 (1 more lb and I'm 1/2 way there!!!) Guest guest
HI Sheri I'm Ethel from Texas. I got banded on October 18th. Everything was so easy and everyone we met at the hospital was professional and took extra time to explain everything. We e-mailed the forms to monica@... and she got everything started. Guest guest
Hi Sheri, Is the and band FDA approved? The reason I ask is because if it isn't you may want to ask you future fill doctor, that is if you are not returing to MX, if he will fill anything besides a Inamed. Good luck on your surgery, you won't regret it! NadineDOB 3/24/07362(346)/285/150 Help! Hi everyone-I am new. My name is Sheri and I am having surgery on November 2! Yay! BUT- I have some questions. Guest guest
Dear I would suggest you to start regular walk half an hour daily in early morning or evening. Several researches have been carried out and it has been proved that by walking or jogging, our brain releases endorphins and serotonin which give us a feeling of relaxation and well-being and rid us of anxiety and depression. Guest guest
Hi : Where are you located. Let me know. Going within and working on self is the best way to HEAL oneself. All the healing and answers to all the queries we have in life lie deep within us and we need to quieten the outer self to be able to listen to the inner self. Lots of love, light and healing. Guest guest
Hello , Sorry to hear about the present state of your mind. It has been suggested that you turn vegetarian and deny yourself the diet that you may otherwise be quite used.to or enjoying. My suggestion to you is that you take regular exercise.preferably play some strenuous game or long strenuous walk on a regular basis.. You will find that you will become mentally a lot calmer than you are at the present time. The other thing is to remain busy all the time and find some friends who are sympathetic to you and talk things with them. This will help unburden some of the thoughts that keep bothering you Your spirituality is part of the symptoms of what you are suffering from.. Best of luck Devinder Help!
