Guest guest
On Nov. 29th 2010 I had a partial knee replacement and an ACL replacement on one knee, then repeated the process for the other knee on January 3d 2011. The first knee was mending well. I was getting great flexion (130+) until 2 weeks ago (3 1/2 months out). I started getting a sharp pain above the joint when it is bent over around 80 - 90 degrees, medial to the patella (not down at the joint). This has gone on for a couple of weeks and I now have this weird daily swelling starts around noon. I ice it, compression bandage it and elevate it and by evening it is down again. The swelling seems to be in the back of the knee rather than at the joint. My doc, Wolfgang Fitz, says this is from the inside scarring, and will go away eventually.
