Guest guest
I have had meniscus tears in both my knees. Painful but nothing like my hip pain before my replacement. Those knees were repaired and now years later I need them to be replaced now. BARB Meniscus tears Does anyone here have experience with meniscus tears? I had an MRI this morning and won't know for sure until I hear from the doctor. I've had two hip replacements and this pain is worse than the hip pains before the surgeries. (of course, I may be remembering it wrong) By the way, Zumba in running shoes is a really bad idea. Thanks. ------------------------------------
Guest guest
I had a torn meniscus in my left knee and had it repaired about 2 years before I had the TKR in the same knee. I was only pain free for about 6 months. The surgery is simple and you home the same day, recovery was pretty fast, but I did go to PT for about 6 weeks. If that cures your problem it is pretty terrific, but it just didn't last for me. Guest guest
I " ve had a torn medial meniscus on my right knee. I went through 2 months maybe 3 of PT and healed up fairly well no surgery needed. I still cannot hyperbend that knee but it beats the heck out of surgery. Give yourself a long time to heal. Zumba will be out of the question for some time. I think it took longer for my knee to heal than I am healing with this hip replacement. Just be patient and follow the PT's instruction to the letter.
