Guest guest
Hi (Montana) >>HI,,,,my pt says I will get more relief six weeks out. im on a stationary >>bike now and just can make a full rotation. Im four weeks out ...the pain >>is better then it was. Having problems turning sideways when im trying to >>sleep at nite. It wakes me up and I end up in the recliner. I miss driving >>but know my right leg will not respond fast enough to hit the brake. I do >>hope the pain slows down at six weeks. But will it be just like new in a >>year...... or will I still have a limp and click? I've not had a limp for several months, so you should be limp-free eventually! It does still click though, which I found slightly irritating, as my old knee clicked, but I've got used to it now I had trouble sleeping initially but I found that supporting my knee on a thin pillow really helped me get more comfortable, and eventually I was able to go without it. To begin with I couldnt sleep on my suide at all, as it was too painful, so had to just lie on my back. I used a vee pillow as well as my usual one to raise my shoulders a bit - that helped as well. I had real difficulty for a couple of months getting comfortable on my recliner though - I tried so many combinations of pillows and cushions - sometimes needed a different set each day! Hope you improve soon Lin, UK, TKR 6 months ago
