Guest guest
Dear Friend of ASO: At the ASA Conference in Nashville, Ben Dorman of the ASA Chapter Services Committee held a working session to address Adult Issues. As he posted on the ASA Chapter leaders network, "the Adult Issues / Chapters working session went pretty well - wehad 27 people attend, which indicates some degree of interest." He also stated the following: "We will be starting a new list to continue working on an action planfor chapters. This isn't designed to be in competition with this list(either AutismTownMeeting or ASA-ChapterNetwork), but it is open bothto chapter leaders and autistic adults to enable us to plan togetherin a systematic way. If anyone is interested let me know and I willinvite or subscribe you to that list when it is ready. It will have some kind of moderation to ensure we stay on task andproduce something that will be really helpful and will lead to muchmore interaction between ASA's 200 chapters and people with autism*after* school-age." If you are interested in signing up for this - please contact Ben Dorman at ben.dorman@.... Keep in mind that he is a volunteer and will get this up and going as life permits! Sincerely, Barbara C.
