Nowadays you can get way more then 10 years from replacement knees if they are done right and you don't abuse them. Pat in Pa. Re: Another Question I did that, and only three groups came up - this one and two that primarily deal with hip resurfacing. Has anyone here had their knee resurfaced? I know that a hip resurfacing is supposed to last a lifetime. Do they say the same thing about knee resurfacing, or does that only last about 10 years (like knee replacement)? My husband is 63, and his doctor really doesn't want to do TKR because it probably won't last the rest of his life.
