Guest guest
Hello, I just had my knee manipulated yesterday morning (in the middle of the 9th week post TKR. Dr. Coon did it under a general anesthesia. The anesthesiologist told me that he and the nurses cringed when the doctor pulled my foot back to my bottom. It was very loud. But after surgery, my knee was back to its hundred degree bend. The staff said that this was because of swelling. I sure hope so, because it doesn't seem more swollen than it was when I went for the surgery. I also woke up with the worse sciatic pain I have had on the side of my new knee. I rolled my feet on an exercise ball and iced on the six hour drive home (day of surgery). I came home, heated it and iced it. This morning my soft tissues of my leg hurt in a different way than before. I am supposed to go for PT every day for 2 weeks. I hope that it even comes close to bending like it did in surgery. Now I have to detox myself from all the surgery chemicals. Devora
