I have had spots on my incision area pop open and he claims it is where a stitch from the inside is attempting to come out. He says not to mess with it. When it begins to abscess I tend to worry. I'm funny that way. I was told this can happen up to a year. I guess I can deal with that. I just find it rather odd that all of this stuff is information that was conveniently omitted from the pre op conversations regarding this surgery and what the post op period would be like. My doctor did tell me he did a little research and did find a knee without nickle. Good to know since I will have to have the other one done at some point in the near future. He is sticking to his " just enjoy life " spiel. I guess it will be okay. I hope. I don't know what to watch for as far as the metal allergy goes. Thanks.
