Guest guest
Oh gosh Bill, I think I had mine around 8-9 months after the CD, I have also had a CD done with a prosthetic hip insitu. -- How Soon? Just wondering how soon after a Core Decompression can an OS safely preform a THR? I am talking about when is it safe to insert the stem in the Femur without fracturing it? I know there is always that chance, but I would think more so with a recent CD.. Thanks, Bill in Indiana ------------------------------------
Guest guest
Hi all, I'm having knee surgery in 2 weeks. got a stash of frozen peas! thanks for that tip. I'm wondering if you can put your full weight on the leg? I was assuming I could do that immediately, but now I'm beginning to wonder. Guest guest
They have you do that with your first PT session ( one day after surgery) in the hospital. Walking to the hall door with walker for support and bearing weight alternately on each foot. mynwalkervwas too high inwas told and i braced my arms so rigidly that they ached for a couple days but i was amazed at how fast I did soon come to trust the weight bearing potential of that artifical knee and began hobbling around confidently on it throughout the first floor of our home. Make sure the top of walker put into your room can be adjusted down or up to wrist level as needed. That will help you succeed a great deal.
