Right, I know what it is...I was curious why you are using it?

It actually feels cool. It is made from crystallizing peppermint. It's

pretty harsh stuff. Just curious about what you were wanting to create?

I'm a little shocked. I work with so many people with cea- I would

never want them to use cayenne.

Cayenne is not a standard treatment for cea. It is actually a

trigger. I am curious the source for this information?

Dr. 's cream is not for rosacea- it's a topical pain killer-

like icy hot. It does nothing to repair tissue. I would never put

something like that on my skin anyway. Cayenne creams are fine for

pain. Menthol and wintergreen on the other hand....it's not my idea of

a natural remedy. And you have a sunburn? Ouch! Do you know how much

this would irritate it?

Please be careful before you use something like this with rosacea. You

need to treat holistically.

What did you do to treat the burn?

But do leave out the oil of wintergreen and menthol as they are not

needed. Try using shea butter or other nut butter instead of beeswax.

Should be much better for the face.

I looked in archives last night, but could not figure out how it

evolved in the thread.

Suzi, do you have any of that information specifically- a specific

testimonial on what was used and the result. I would love to hear first

hand how cayenne helped the rosacea.

I hate to make generalizations- with rosacea it presents very

differently and triggers vary somewhat.

Normally the approach is very whole person. Elimination of sugars and

spicy foods (including cayenne) and all processed foods are a good

place to start. Alcohol is a trigger too and should be avoided. Often

people with rosacea are also hypoglycemic.

I can't imagine using cayenne topically- it sounds so counter

intuitive for rosacea. If you have that information please do send it.

I am curious.

I have had some very good results working very individually with

clients- on diet, supplementation, cleansing, and several phases of

treatment with specific cleansing routines, special organic hydrosols,

and blends of essential oils applied like a facial serum, and custom

clay treatments. The first phase of treatment following an in depth

intake is to make changes in diet and supplementation and begin a

calming treatment- to alleviate the inflammation and irritation.

if some one gets a burn of any kind the best treatment I know is cool

water with a few drops of Lavender or simply a drop of Lavender

(organic and pure) then mix German Chamomile, Roman Chamomile, and

Lavender and use this blend in a cool water compress as needed. After

the burning stops then you can add the drops to a base of aloe or oil.

Don't use an oil or salve or wax on a new burn- it will act like butter

on a hot skillet. It is fine for healing once the heat is out. I make a

Burn Blend with this formula that is in my refrigerator at all times.

It is nothing short of miraculous in it's ability to stop pain,

decrease inflammation and regenerate cells and help heal with no scar.

For a sunburn, a good pure aloe vera gel with added Lavender or this

combination is extremely soothing and effective.
