Guest guest
I dont know.I think you should check with your doc and see what he says.it might hurt recovery time I am having surgery on the 28th of November. I have a cholesteatomaon my ear drum. I also missing one of my ear bones. From the CT, thedoctor was also concern that there was not a bone between the ear andbrain. I have cerebral palsy (minor) and had many ear tubesoperations when I was little - so much scar tissue. My ear bones arenot very porous - Dr said that. Anyway, my main question is recoverytime. I am suppose to fly out on the 24th of December (Chicago toHawaii). Do you think I should keep my flight times. Never miss a thing. Make your homepage. Guest guest
Hi All, I am 45 and five weeks into my recovery. I went to the Dr. last week he said everything looked great and I could put as much weight as I wanted on the hip, might want to go to one crutch a crane, etc. Also discussed my leg being longer and got a insert for my shoe, although I do think I will be having to get it a bit thicker. My biggest question is, when I do walk with full weight on my leg, I still limp alot...is that normal? My hip (joint) doens't hurt my leg/thigh buttock muscles all do and I believe this is what is causing the limp. I just was wondering if some of you could share your timelines for walking without aid and without a big limp. Thanks, Sherrie.

I requested 2 weeks off and needed every bit of it to recover. My job requires that I interview people all day long. I interact with the public and need to be at my very best. It took me a few days just to recover from the anesthesia and the shock my head took from the surgery (come on - they were inside my head for quite some time!). Besides the physical discomfort, I could not go into the office looking like an advertisement for " Staples " . And I'm not talking about their Easy Button - I'm talking about their old commercial where the stapler curves out a BIG S. That's what the back of my ear looked like - over a dozen staples - holding my ear back on. So, as you've probably suspected - everyone is different. Allow for the worst and hope for the best!! Guest guest
Bettie is so right. You'll spend a good three to four days just getting rid of the anesthetic. So round up the DVD's you've been meaning to watch (my concentration was zip), stock the fridge with lots of liquids, take strolls to build your strength back up, and chill out a bit. These are instructions for the 40 + crowd. If you're younger ... you might recover a little faster. Guest guest
My son's doctor said 6 to 8 weeks of no physical play/activity or getting the ear wet, including sweating that could run in the ear, (going to the beach, swimming, etc.) Farm work may be out for a while. Best wishes! anne hewitt wrote: > > > My daughter has accepted a job at a sustainable farm this summer. The > work will be physical, dirty and hot. She is scheduled for her first > surgery June 25.
