The Greater Cleveland Chili Cook-Off for Autism

At 6:00 pm on Wednesday, April 5th, 2006 at the Great Lakes Brewing Company Tasting Room in downtown Cleveland, professional, celebrity and amateur chefs will be cooking up their best chili to benefit The Autism Society of Greater Cleveland. There will be awards for categories such as Best Professional Chili, Best Celebrity Chili, Best Amateur Chili, Best Vegetarian Chili and a People’s Choice Award.

We want to help those families in the Greater Cleveland area who have Autistic children to get the help they need. Autism is a very complicated and frustrating disability and it can become quite an expensive proposition for those who have to deal with it day-in and day-out! Without the help of insurance which many people cannot afford, this can cripple their efforts to help their loved ones. That is why we have pooled our resources together to do what we can for our neighbors in need.

All donations of prizes, gifts or cash are more than greatly appreciated and accepted with a big smile. We are also looking for sponsors, who contribute $500 or more, who will become a large part of our yearly event and who will join a list of caring businesses and companies who want to make a difference in our fight against Autism.
