Guest guest
Hi Sharon, You certainly have your plate more than full! Glad recovery is going so well with your knee. Through the coming chemo and tests, you'll be in my thoughts and prayers! I found out that my breast cancer was back I think I posted that I had the surgery to take it out almost 6 weeks out. Just had surgery again last Monday they had to redo my double mastectomy because the first dr let to much breast tissue in. So spent 2 night in the hospital came home with drain tubes in so here I sit waiting for them to stop. So I had 3 surgery's in less than 3 months oh they replace my port to a new greater model lol. I will have to repeat my ct scan soon cause they messed it up. Then I will start my cancer treatment on 31st don't know yet what it will be till the test come back from the surgery. I so wish I had done both knees now at the same time. My cancer dr also had a knee replacement so I know he knows the feeling. I asked about getting my other knee done quick and he said do you want a new knee or do you want to live, well that was no choice. So if you all need one get it done before life passes you by. Still doing home PT and nurse but because of all the other stuff going on PT said they can come when I have my chemo just to get me up and going and so I don't get so weak. Getting my knee is the best think I have done for myself. Sharon LeVine
Guest guest
Hi Sharon I am so sorry about the way circumstances have gone. Even when things go as expected it can be a roller coaster ride. They say these make us stronger, but I know without faith..my ship would have completely sank! I never dreamed I would be in a women's safe house recoverying from knee surgery. Life has a way of throwing us curve balls sometimes. I just wanted you to know we are here and care very much! love and prayers are being sent your way! sorry not posting Joint Replacement Date: Sunday, March 6, 2011, 8:48 PM I will be 3 months out tomorrow and all is great with my knee. Guest guest
Hi Sharon, You have more than your handful at this point. Wait till your cancer treatment is done and then you can worry about the knee, but at this point you have other priorities. Good luck with your recuperation from the surgeries. Guest guest
Sharon, you sound sopositive despite everything that you have had to put up with over the last three months. You put me to shame, all I've had done is my knee and I was whinging about discomfort when trying to get to sleep! My very best wishes for a complete recovery from the cancer, and another new knee when you are strong enough! Good luck, and God bless.
