Guest guest
I agree that the hip replacement restrictions with the lateral approach are difficult to get use to. Sleeping flat on my back about did me in. Plus no comfortable position to sit. Ice does not help that much on the hip either........but I am sure glad that I had it done. BARB Re: hip and knee It's kind of a tough call. Of course I just had the one hip, but since my knees were already so bad, it hurt to do anything. I also hated all of the restrictions at the beginning. With the knees, it was two at the same time, so that is hard to compare since I did not have a good leg to stand on. As with most things, as time passes, you sort of forget a lot. Basically I can say if you are in a lot of pain and injections, etc., don't help anymore, we are lucky to have the option of a replacement. It is relatively safe and has generally a good outcome. > > > > Hello, I just joined this group. I had both knees replaced on 12/13 so I > > am about 5 weeks out.
