Barbara,

I still do have a limp, especially if I am walking a lot.. No pain though..

But I haven't done much PT for the hip yet, as I had my shoulder

Done 3 months post the hip, then I had no driving for 6 weeks,

from both those surgeries. I have started going to the pool,

My PT wasn't very helpful when I did go there so I am looking for another

one to go to.

Even when I was NON weight bearing from other hips,

I could still stand up straight, even though I was not putting weight

through.

With the crutches I stood up straight, with the walker not so much as it

didn't come high enough as I am tall.

Joint Replacement

Subject: Re: forgot to post

I could stand flat footed 3 weeks after the surgery as I was not suppose to

put full weight on the leg/legs until then,,, but I could not walk that way,

I leaned over somewhat until I got to use a cane. Used a walker and

crutches, then went to a cane. Cane came about 6 weeks after surgery, and

then my PT had me do heel/toe and think about walking normal. It took me

some time and I know others that they didn't have any problem with walking

normal.

I was still limping somewhat at 3 months after surgery, but I don't limp now

at 5 months.
