You can grind flax seeds in the regular container - they are soft enough! If you try the variable speeds (and don't grind more than a cup at a time) you will find the speed that gets them "not pasty" and the coarseness or fineness that you desire. :-)

Flax Seed

If I want to grind flax seed to sprinkle on other foods, should I use the wet or dry container? I just want them ground up a little, not ground until they get pasty (if they do get pasty).
