Guest guest
Oh yes Lin the Great Barrier Reef is fantastic. I have been there 3 times now Our fuel has gone up in recent times, but I know its half what you pay in the UK. I just changed my car to get a more fuel friendly vehicle for my long trips up to Brisbane. -- Re: Lin travelling. Hi I'm glad we dont have such distances to get to medical services here in the UK - the price of fuel has rocketed and it's becoming very expensive to fill up. I hope the trip to see the Reef was worth it in the end - such long hours driving! Lin Lin that's so funny, when we first arrived here in Australia, from the UK, we had no idea the distance travelled. We had friends come for a holiday and she so wanted to see the Great Barrier reef, So we looked at the map and thought that's not too far away, and proceeded to make the trip up there for a long weekend. Thursday to Sunday. Well we started driving taking it in turns, and it took us over 18 hours to get there, so had to cancel one day so we could drive back in time for work. Another 20 hours home. I go to my surgeon who is 300 km's away and think nothing of it, except when you have had surgery and on the way home, you just want to get home. the worst part is going back at 2 weeks to have sutures removed. x ------------------------------------
