Hi Joan,

I have a little story about squatting in the garden.  My R. knee cap pops out of

place.  I was busy pruning, when I tried to get up and couldn't because of the

knee cap.  Somehow or other, I just couldn't catch myself and tipped over

sideways into the azaleas - poor things!  :o)  My kids still laugh about it.  At

the time, I just wanted to shoot them cause it took a few moments for them to

recover themselves before they helped me up.  Haven't squatted much since!

Yeah, that's what I thought.  It really makes gardening difficult.  Even pruning

the roses last week was really hard on my lower back.  Joan

-- TKR and kneeling

Had a TKR two weeks ago.  As the PT left the house today,I called out,

,

open the garage service door, and check out my old VW Karmann Ghia, I'll 'be

there' when I can get under my old car again. " .....He smiled, and called

back,

" But getting down on your new knee might be painful, the metal joint

pressing on

the skin might be painful. " ........Question: Is this true? Used to kneel on

the

old knee.
