Guest guest
Kelli...YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!!!ABSOLUTELY, WITHOUT A DOUBT AMAZING!!!!! I am sooo happy for you!!! You keep "working it" girl!!!!! You are truly an inspiration to us all!!! Dana -------------- Original message -------------- From: "Kelli" <psichikel@...> I was in a rut as well the past few weeks where the scales wouldnt tip, what I started doing was eating little healthy snacks every 2 hours between meals, so I would have grapes/apple/nectarine before lunch and then have maybe a snack size tuna kit before I headed out to the gym. If you can boost your protein in between meals that will help, also change up your exercise. I decided one day of the week I would swim at my local gym's pool and it seemed to help. I've also started eating higher protein in the AM, I'll have like 3 chicken nuggets which is about 120 cal but 12g of protein, then my 1/2 sandwich with turkey or chicken, then something high in protein in the evening...like Fish. Kinda change things up a bit and see how it works...give the body chance to adjust. You'll be surprised cause all of a sudden I had dropped 4lbs which seemed over night. Also, drink lots of water...it aids in losing weight. My gym produces these flyers and it says that sometimes we think we are hungry when in fact we need water...so drink water if you feel a twinge of hunger to see if that is what your body really needed. Take Care!Kelli>> Hello everyone> > This is keri in Florida. i have not wrote in awhile because life has been crazy. any way i need help. i have lost a total of 50 lbs in 5 months. but i am stuck at 250. and cant go down. i has been like this for the past 3 weeks, i dont need a fill but what can i do to loose again. please help.> > keri> > > > > > ---------------------------------> How low will we go? Guest guest
, Yes. They're right, it's me with the hubby with DES (). Does this girl live in Jordan (the country)? That would be great to hear from someone with DES! The only one we've ever corresponded with was a woman who started a GI motility disorders group. She said she was diagnosed with DES AND A. I don't know if that means her DES was misdiagnosed or just became A or what. Anyway, feel free to have the girl you know e mail me: brendacoyle at comcast.net (I took the hint from someone earlier and wrote it the long way so that it shows up fully). Thanks, and good luck with the new job! in Michigan > > Hello all. I know I have been not responding to to many post over the > last few weeks. Either way, it might be nice to talk to her about DES issues. Thank you, Notan, for mentioning my group! Guest guest
Yes I took 10-20 norco's a day for 5 years. there is nothing I can do right now regarding other tests, since I have no money and I am not in a testing program at this time. I just talked to my husband he hasn't been the best support at this time, I think he was waiting for me to say I really relapsed. Guest guest
hey thanks robin i was just kind of curious, i know its " accurate " for like 80 hours but it seems that people who metabolize faster it would be less time and slower it would also take longer??? would that also mean that if someone had accidental exposure and had a slow metabolism that it would show up alot easier. sorry i do not understand exactly how all this works. another thing the 80 hours is that a constant i mean if somone washed with purrell or drank a 12 pack is there a difference or would they last the same amount of time? i have so many questions i dont even know where to begin!!! --- robin murray <remurraymd@...> wrote: > hi jason, many things can affect hepatic metabolism > which makes this test > so dangerous because results can vary 15X person > to person or in fact > in the same person due to multiple > factors...review the posts to get an idea, > you are right it matters very much to anyone who > has had an innocent > positive...regards,r > > jason holbrook <jholbrook42@...> wrote: > I Have A Couple Questions What Affects The > Etg Test I > Mean Every One Has Different Metabolism Rate Or Does > That Not Even Matter ? > --- Ethylglucuronide > <jhartman32001@...> wrote: > > I thought every thing was going fine, with etg > tetsing. Guest guest
, I'm so sorry to hear this. If your license is not suspended right now, you can work. There is the possibility that they will suspend your license b/c they deem you a " danger to the public " due to the positive EtGs. I've not heard of that happening to ANYONE in nursing diversion program who has been having problems with EtG. Has anyone else? I can't understand why Maximus is still using EtG as the sole determinant of relapse. My guess is that they are sending you off to rehab in the name of " treatment " , which for them is different than " discipline " . It is my understanding that Probation is ALL about " discipline " and NOT about " treatment " . By the time Probation gets ahold of you, they will HOPEFULLY know that EtG evidence will be THROWN OUT of court. The precedence has been set. Hang in there, Lorie > > I thought every thing was going fine, with etg tetsing. I have stopped taking seroquel, my 3 > recent tests have been negative. Guest guest
These are interesting kinetic factors you bring up, . Look, for example, at how long any drug will remain detectable in your body and you will likely find a WIDE RANGE. The figure " 80 hours " is a nice round number for marketing purposes. However, based upon differences in human metabolism, this number is highly variable. The drug testing industry IGNORES all of these messy metabolic factors. After all, they operate under the premise that, since the substance is ILLEGAL, it shouldn't be in your system in the first place, so metabolism does not play a role. TRUE with other drugs, but b/c ethanol is both legal AND impossible to avoid, this assumption DOESN'T work for ethanol/EtG. The elimination of EtG follows first order kinetics, meaning a constant fraction of the drug in the body is eliminated per unit time. The rate of elimination is proportional to the amount of drug in the body. It would take some HEAVY alcohol consumption to show up 80 hours later. How much? Too many variables...beats me. > > > I thought every thing was going fine, with etg > > tetsing. I have stopped taki > > > ng seroquel, my 3 > > > recent tests have been negative. Guest guest
I found the study that gave EtG the infamous " 80 hour " moniker. It was a drinking experiment that involved 17 people (ALL men) who consumed 60-184g of beer, spirits, and wine (by self report--That's 6-20 shots of booze) during a 6hr " student meeting " (I think we used to call them " keggers " or " frat parties " when I was in school...). Of the 17 guys, 3 of them still tested positive for EtG 78.5 hours after drinking stopped. > > > > > I thought every thing was going fine, with etg > > > > tetsing. Guest guest
Hi , I dropped out of Diversion in California in August 2005, for the same reasons. 9 months later I was contacted by the Dept. Of Consumer Affairs via registered letter and given an opportunity to cooperate in their investigation--that is, have my say to the investigator--which I did, completely and honestly. He told me he would then complete my file and send it on to the Board. That was around May 2006. I've heard nothing yet, but I'm not hiding or anything, I haven't moved or even changed phone numbers. And yes I am working, in a job that would be diversion approved if I were still in. So that's where I am, and I'll be sure to keep everyone posted " as events warrant " ...don't give up. Truth, honesty, all that corny stuff WILL PREVAIL. At any rate I can look at myself in the mirror and know I am OK. My husband had difficulty with the whole drug situation but has been totally supportive throughout the " ETG fiasco " . Hang in there. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~Keep the Faith~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Evil Eva > > I thought every thing was going fine, with > > etg tetsing. Guest guest
hi again jason you are correct basically varies with amount and rate, but varies exponentially making it oversensitive and incorrect a lot kind of like most alcoholic/ addicts i know including myself...i know the whole thing boggles the mind but if you go way back and review the posts you will gradually figure it out..regards,r Ethyl glucuronide 3–4 days (half-life 2–3 h) Identifies even low–level consumption Can be measured in urine or hairjason holbrook <jholbrook42@...> wrote: hey thanks robin i was just kind of curious, i knowits"accurate" for like 80 hours but it seems that peoplewho metabolize faster it would be less time and slowerit would also take longer??? would that also mean thatif someone had accidental exposure and had a slowmetabolism that it would show up alot easier. sorry ido not understand exactly how all this works. anotherthing the 80 hours is that a constant i mean if somonewashed with purrell or drank a 12 pack is there adifference or would they last the same amount of time?i have so many questions i dont even know where tobegin!!!--- robin murray <remurraymd > wrote:> hi jason, many things can affect hepatic metabolism> which makes this test> so dangerous because results can vary 15X person> to person or in fact> in the same person due to multiple> factors...review the posts to get an idea,> you are right it matters very much to anyone who> has had an innocent> positive...regards,r > > jason holbrook <jholbrook42 > wrote:> I Have A Couple Questions What Affects The> Etg Test I> Mean Every One Has Different Metabolism Rate Or Does> That Not Even Matter ?> --- Ethylglucuronide > <jhartman32001 > wrote:> > I thought every thing was going fine, with etg> tetsing.
