Guest guest
Hello , I had a lot of pain in my right hip when I was around 13. It got so bad that I would almost be in tears every time I would go from a sitting to laying position or visa versa. My orthopedic put a shot of cortozone right into the hip socket itself and within 24 hours the pain was totally gone. I am blessed that it has never returned. I do not know if this is something that is available to you but you may want to ask about it. Also, I use a ROHO duel chamber cushion to help relieve the pressure on my butt from sitting all of the time. It has air chambers that adjust as you move or you can adjust it with valves you open and close. Take care! Guest guest
Scoliosis causes me lots of pain in my right hip, also. It's made worse because of osteoarthritis. I use a tempra foam cushion that's higher in the from and on one side. For the arthritis I'm taking 100 mg of Celebrex, and take 25 mg of Ultram as needed (a much smaller dose than my doctor prescribed because I don't want to be high). Guest guest
, I had very bad hip pain for a few months last summer. I went to a chiropractor and he told me it was my hamstring. He then used an " activator " which signifcantly lessened the pain. He also recommended I sit on an ice/gel pack for 20-30 minutes each hour. I went back for a follow-up appointment a week later and he used the " activator " again and I have been pain-free ever since! For more about the " activator " you can do a Google search. Here is one link I found: http://www.coccyx.org/treatmen/activ.htm ~a atardecer <atardecer@...> wrote: hello, first sorry because my english is bad. Guest guest
Hey Dawn, There may be a cure for your Reiter's. If it was triggered by another health issue, then you need to get that resolved and often the Reiter's goes away. One problem is that another health issue, in the future, may trigger Reiter's again and you think you still have Reiter's. I believe, in many people, Reiter's comes almost every time you get an infection - either bacterial or fungal. The key is to get healthy and stay healthy. I sure hope you can resolve your health issues, it sounds pretty awful. Good Luck, Greg ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
Guest guest
Dawn: I feel for you. It took me almost 4 years to realize the disease I (we) have is very misunderstood (sometimes unrecognized / nor ackowledged by well know / highly regarded physicians). Many of my medical exams were embarrassing and full of frustration. Time and time again I heard the pain was all in my head. My labs were " normal " so there's nothing wrong. Little by little.. I've come to accept this condition and adjust my life around it. I sometimes take Ultram for pain. It sometimes helps. Take care.
Guest guest
To give you some hope, the pain will get better. Remissions will come, and you may even feel " normal " at times and for varying periods. Your whole life won't be like it is now. Have faith. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
--I was so excited last Monday when I woke up with no pain, and none all day. I thought a miracle had happened, until the next morning,it's baback and still at it. But that one day was a blessing. All my remissions have been used up over the 40 years of having this stuff, but ut I do know what a longterm remission feels like. Enjoy it while you are having one.And faith is the only thing that has gotten me thru. Sometimes I feel like throwing in the towel, but then what would I miss just around the corner? I try to sleep thru the bad pain days, and maybe I will have another great Monday. Hang in there. D. - In , Spencer <myroro44@...> wrote: > > > > To give you some hope, the pain will get better. Guest guest
Hi, Marla. Please don't be alarmed by what I'm going to tell you. Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease and scoliosis often go hand in hand. Ask your GP to refer you to the closest MDA clinic in your area (a specific doctor) for an EMG and nerve conduction volicity testing. Can't hurt to rule it out, anyway. I had severe scoli and learned I have CMT2, diagnosed last month. Lj marla peugh <marlapeugh@...> wrote: Hey, I have major pain with my scoliosis, my legs go numb too. Guest guest
Elly, this person who told you they only contact the doctor in emergency's is simply out of line Obviosly she does not know pain is an emergency. What if you said my head rolled down the street, she would probably tell you to go get it.. Call again, maybe a different person will answer the phone. I would also put in writing this story to the doctor and mail it. Does a warm bath or shower help? Call again, or...go to an ER. That person needs to apologize and profoundly so. Guest guest
, I was worried sick over mine part of that is I lived in one state but had filed in another because i had lived there . it went great for me I was asked very little fact is the SSI doctors report and voc rehabs really said it all . In fact they came out stronger for me then my own doctors who were 100% for me going for SSI and were the ones that talked to me about doing it as it never was my idea heck i was going to get better if it killed me and get back to work. that was back in 2002. it was 3 years getting to the hearing as it is not really a court date but more of a formal hearing kind of like a meeting more or less . any hoot it was about 3 months later before the judge ruled and I heard . I believe the waiting is one of the hardest parts the other at lest for me was wondering would i get it after all they keep turning me down but i have heard it is only about 15 to some 20 percent that get it the first time the rest go down the road you are and I did. in the end it was a great big relief for me when i got it but part of that is I was homeless and broke living off what money I could barrow or beg for . so again do not stress it is a big deal yes but by the time you get to this point nothing to worry about . i know i know ya essayer said then done you got yours i am still waiting . well the time will be here before ya know it and it Will all be behind ya then the rednecks Marty & G.
