hospital infection (C-Diff) after THR-

I'm curious; am I the  only one who contracted Clostridium Difficile

(C-Diff)-colitis in the hospital a day or two after my THR?  As a result, I was

there for 2 weeks, instead of the customary 3 days, before transferring to a

rehab facility.  Those were the worst 2 weeks of my life!

 

I had to have a private room, and couldn't go into the PT room.

I had my THR on 11.11.2010......I stayed in the hospital for 5 days and

went from there to my home with my husband to care for me. I had

inhome nursing care for two weeks (4 visits) and inhome PT for 5 weeks

(10 visits). I have had no problems at all with my incision and had very

little pain. I am very thankful that I chose who I did for my surgeon.
