Guest guest
Dear Friend of ASO: The Autism Society of Ohio is very pleased to present our 2005 Bi-annual Conference "Reaching Beyond the Horizon - Challenging the Autism Spectrum" on October 14-15, 2005 at the Kingsgate Marriott on the University of Cincinnati Campus in Cincinnati Ohio. We have an exciting group of speakers covering a variety of issues related to autism. For the past two years, the Autism Society of Ohio has worked very hard to develop a conference that is not only cutting edge, but also focuses on a segment of the population in the autism community - adolescents and adults – that are sometimes overlooked. In this years conference, has been designed to do just that, as we are very excited to be partnering with Ardmore, Inc. for a track solely devoted to those issues. We have two terrific keynote speakers - Dr. Carbone, EdD speaking on Verbal Behavior on Friday, and Dr. Grossi, PhD on Transitioning from School to Work. Each keynote speaker will also do a breakout session in the afternoon to give attendees a chance to get more in depth information and ask questions. We also hope you will find that we have a broad range of speakers and topics – including the popular panel of adults on the spectrum. We also have a great variety of vendors, a bookstore, raffle prizes and a reception on Friday evening sponsored by Hickman, Esq. of Hickman and Lowder, and Dr. Max Wiznitzer, MD of Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital. At the reception we will be giving special recognition to Stoica of ODE for her service to persons with autism and their families in Ohio. This conference will be one of our best conferences ever - so register soon!
