Guest guest
Is there any chance that once you are seen by the emergency room doctor that he will be able to get approval for a referral to an otologist? It would be worth a try. A few years ago I went to a " health mobile " and they were able to get me a free appointment with a specialist. I know it seems like lot when you don't have a regular income, but it would be worth working out a payment arrangement if possible with the doctor or hospital, if you can. Our United Way has a referral system. Try contacting your local United Way and see if they have any information on organizations that can help. Guest guest
It depends on your situation. I was told by my doctor if there was an emergency to go to the emvergency room-- which to find out I was with the only doctor that could help me and to get any type of help it was better for me to go to the clinic were they could help me. Before this I was able to hold a full time job, and go to college. Now I am lucky if I don't get fired from my part time job and I don't even know what to think about college. Luckly enough, I think I can help you. I have found out that me not haveing insurance (at all) has helped me. I can go to get the help I need when I need it. As far as I am concerned, my health in that since is the most important, if not a year or two down the road it could lead to my death. I found that to get help through medicad, the first time i went, I had to either be pregnant or broker than broke. It turns out that you actully have to first go through and be claimed disabiled, and work with someone who works on special cases. Or you could go to the hospital, or a clinic that have there own special programs. If you do fill out these programs stay on top of them and make sure it doesn't take three monthes to process. If it does don't wait monthes for the paper work to go through if you have surgery, get what you need to have done. Make sure you know what is covered under them, like if the hospital fees and the physicain fees. Hopefully this information is helpful to you. Sorry it is long winded.
