My (almost) 8 year old son goes in for surgery #2 tomorrow at Hinsdale

Hospital in Il. Reason for surgery is three-fold:

1) Check for C-toma growth from extensive, original surgery last July

(canal wall up)

2) Re-seat the titanium prosthesis that replaced 2 of the inner ear

bones destroyed by C-toma.

3) Fix the ear drum which did not close after the first surgery.

We're praying for no recurrence and a short session to correct #2/3.

All prayers greatly appreciated.

That’s very quick Jennie and I really hope everything goes well

for you.

Have to admit, the name ‘stealth’ sounds interesting as I haven’t

heard that term here before.

I saw a new ENT on Tuesday as a follow-up to

the last 7 months of chronic infection and they have me scheduled for the

" stealth " revision surgery next Tuesday! I'm so glad they were able

to get it scheduled so quickly. Apparently there are still structural issues in

my sinuses causing undrainable pockets and " recirculation " areas. I

don't have a frontal sinus and my spenoids are clear, so at least they won't

have to go there.

Wish me luck. I really need my kids to not bonk me in the nose this time.

I will have the desens with Dr. Shalla Gogate at National Jewish here in

Denver, CO as soon as I can get it scheduled following the surgery.

Surgery is with Dr. Phyllis Bouvier at Exemply St. ph's hospital in Denver.

I'll let you know how it all turns out!

Jennie
