We are now in a maintenance phase (I hope) after a CWD. My son is 5 and a

hearing aid has been recommended because reconstruction can't happen for a

few years. The audiologist thinks this will help him greatly when he starts

school in the fall. The school is also set up and ready to use an FM system.

He has a moderate to severe loss, they took 2 of the hearing bones. Anyway,

I'm wondering about those of you with kids that have hearing aids, what has

been your experience, are you using BTE, or in the ear, digital or analog.

How hard is it to get the kids to wear and care for them? This is a whole

new chapter in the c'toma book for me.....I'm not sure where to start with

the hearing aid thing. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks, Barbara
