Guest guest
I have had a long history with Psoriasis as well. You thinking a connection with the way our skin grows?? Interesting theory. Psoriasis....anyone? I was just searching through the messages and came across some posts from a couple years back where people were questioning a connection between psoriasis and cholesteatoma. I'm a psoriasis sufferer. Anyone else out there?
Guest guest
Not psoriasis, but my son has extremely dry skin. We have had many prescription cremes for his skin, helps for a while. I have never heard of a connection. >From: " alli_d_99 " <alli_d_99@...> >Reply-cholesteatoma >cholesteatoma >Subject: Psoriasis....anyone? >Date: Tue, 14 Feb 2006 16:56:01 -0000 > >I was just searching through the messages and came across some posts >from a couple years back where people were questioning a connection >between psoriasis and cholesteatoma. Guest guest
Over the past couple of years, I have had really bad dermatitis in my ears. This has been the cause of much pain and discomfort for me, to the extent that I have had to have extra-strong painkillers and even antibiotics, too, in an effort to try to heal the infection that sometimes is apparent with it. I now use tri-adcortyl ointment to help heal it when it's playing up. Once, when it was bad, I actually got in to see the surgeons as it was a BAHA/ENT clinic day - and my surgeon and his colleague saw the weals and whelts I suffered from on such bad days and initially said it looked very much like I had shingles, but when I told them I had had this some 40 or 50 times, they agreed it was dermatitis. Does anyone know: is psoriasis perhaps anything like dermatitis?Kazzyxx Psoriasis....anyone?>Date: Tue, 14 Feb 2006 16:56:01 -0000>>I was just searching through the messages and came across some posts>from a couple years back where people were questioning a connection>between psoriasis and cholesteatoma. Guest guest
My son has psoriasis and c-toma. I asked his otologist if he has seen any correlation and he doesn't think there is any connection. He's treated a lot of c-toma so I guess he would see it if it existed. They do seem to have similar characteristics. Dorothy Psoriasis....anyone? Guest guest
You got me thinking about my possible psoriais on the elbows. They hurt and are dry. I have had 5 c-toma left ear surgreies or reconstructions, and one cranial surgery. I have have lived with c-toma 18 years. Some one has been talking about A S I don't want to think about it. Center line back, shoulders, right elbow, wrist and hand pain sounds like it is time to ask a Dr. It might be just getting old! Carl Psoriasis....anyone? Guest guest
Hey Carl, All these replies got me thinking even harder! I have an appt. with a new derm next week and I'm going to make sure I ask him about this. Are you aware that there's also a 10 to 30 percent chance that the psoriatic will also have psoriatic arthritis? Most people are blind to this fact. Sorry to get OT here.
