Guest guest Posted October 29, 2007 Report Share Posted October 29, 2007 Charlie, I have had the BAHA implant surgery on both ears. The surgery itself wasn't bad at all. Some people even have it done under local anesthetic. I, however, had general anesthetia both times. They did the two implants at different times. I missed one day of work for each implant surgery. There is a group for people with BAHA's or parents of kids with BAHA's. It is BAHA_PPL I am very pleased with the BAHA's and for me they work SO much better than " regular " hearing aids. I would definitely recommend them.
