Guest guest
Dear Group, Am I ever glad to have found this group! My son is having surgery at UC in Sacramento on Thursday to remove a cholesteatoma that was discovered about two months ago during a tube surgery. I am a nervous Mom. has had chronic ear infections as a young child, has had several ruptured eardrums, and continues to have abnormal pressure in his ears (due to poor Eustachian tube function). This was really a surprise though because he hasn't had pain or symptoms for 2-3 years. He had the tubes put in recently because he had a retracted pocket, which I learned can lead to a cholesteatoma (that problem has already resolved). I love to hear from you with words or support or advice, especially re: post-op for a young child. I'm planning on lots of movies and rest afterwards. Best to all of you, and thanks for this group!
