Hi,

I had my surgery at the end of January with Dr Simon Parisier from the NY Eye and Ear infirmary. Dr Parisier came highly recommended from my previous surgeon in South Florida, when I asked him to give me the name of "the best neuro-otologist north of DC". I was very impressed with him, and he is clearly a guy who knows his stuff.

I don't live in NY, but I travel there to see Dr Parisier because I was very selective about my choice of surgeon.

Dr Murray in West Palm beach - also a superstar, took me 10 years of crappy doctors until I found Dr Murray. He did my 1st Ctoma surgery. When I got a Ctoma in my other ear (5 years later), I asked for Dr Murray's opinion and he recommended Dr Parisier.

Both are world class, and I would highly recommend them both.

Try to look up the name that you've been given at:

http://www.entnet.org/

I looked for neurotologists in the state of New York and got this

listing (see below) - the database at the web site links to additional

information about each doctor.

It's possible you were given the name of an otologist with a lot of

experience with cholesteatomas - you can switch the specialty. You can

also search by name.

From what I've read about Parisier, he's a giant in the field and is

quite knowledgeable about cholesteatoma.

I will definatly be considering Dr. Parisier. Just googled his name

and found lots of impressive info.
