Hello Everyone,

Does anyone have any experience with skydiving while they have a c-

toma (and/or a perforated eardrum??)? I am planning on skydiving soon

with some friends, and I asked my doctor and he said that he thought I

would be fine. I would just go with his advice, but I thought if

anyone has any experience with this (especially BAD experience) it

would be good to know.

I have a perforated eardrum in my left ear and (most likely) a c-toma

in that ear as well (which, at least in February, was quite small). I

have flown many times since I was diagnosed, with no problem, so I am

confident that the flying part would not hurt me, but I just wonder

about the part where I'm falling in the air for 12,000 feet at about

110 miles per hour, whether that much wind (or pressure change?) could

damage my ear or eardrum, etc. The doc said I'd be fine to skydive,

but if anybody has any thoughts I'd love to know. Thanks,

It was one of my NO-No's from my Doc, the rapid change

in air presure could cause vertigo. I would get a 2nd

opinion on that one....
