Guest guest
Hi everyone, My name is Jon and I'm 20. I stumbled upon this group in my random wikipedia searching on the web, and I thought I'd type in the name of my previous troubles: cholesteatoma. I've had 7 surgeries on my ears, 3 of them being cholesteatoma surgeries and have to report in to my ENT once every year. I've had tubes in my ears, then ear drum repair surgeries, then cholesteatoma surgery a few more times, then a few more ear drum repair attempts. My balance was pretty screwed up for a while but I worked hard at it and now take martial arts. I have for the last 3 years actually. I know its hard for the younger kids to go through something like this, so I'd be delighted to help if anyone has any questions or just needs someone to talk to. I saw a few stories of folks who had children going through this, hang in there. Its tough for the child, but as I've grown older I can see that it was far harder for my parents to go through it
