Guest guest
My son Miles, who is almost 6, will have his second look surgery in August. His eardrum has prolasped into his ear a bit and is covering the prostetic they put in during his first surgery (as all the hearing bones were eroded away). The doctor is putting in a titanium prostetic this time and from the looks of the CT scan not having to do a lot of clean up of any regrowth. Miles hearing is worse than before surgery, and worse again from his 6 week check up so we're hopeful this second surgery will really help with that. He, of course, won't know until he gets in there but he was pleased with the look of the CT scan. Miles has been having a hard time of it the last few weeks, feeling a lot of pressure and swallowing pain. Miles is scared for the surgery, but wants to get it over with and be healed before first grade starts. Any tips to second look surgeries we should know about?? joycelyn
