Guest guest
I copied that blurb from another list and know only what it said. I don't doubt the study you mention. You can also throw flies in the freezer and they will go into hibernation. My dog is the only one in my house that regularly eats meat so personally I care little about myself geting parasites via meat. Parasites are everywhere, you can get them from walking barefoot outside and from eating organic vegies ! Pam --------------------------------- Hi Pam, Your note is interesting to me. Did you know that they have done studies with wevils, (the caterpillar form of several species of insects which lay their eggs on foods), and have frozen them solid for months on end? Then when they bring the wevils back to room temperature, they get up and run around like nothing had happened to them? I wonder what studies were actually done on the parasite you mention? Slightly warmer temps than 0° F require longer freezing periods. This takes care of salmon parasite that is a problem for dogs, pork and sheep parasites. ________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________ FREE pop-up blocking with the new MSN Toolbar – get it now! http://toolbar.msn.click-url.com/go/onm00200415ave/direct/01/
Guest guest
E-coli cannot survive proper cooking temperatures. The problem, as with pond scum (algae), is the toxins that the e-coli generated before they were killed. Toxins are NOT eliminated by cooking no matter the temperature or length of cooking.
