Guest guest
Hi Alan: My wife and I are pursuing biomedical interventions (on top of ABA). Our 4.5 year old son is a patient of Dr. Rashid Buttar in Cornelius, NC, so we have been chelating with TD-DMPS for almost 6 months, while also borrowing various aspects of the DAN! protocol (MB-12, folinic acid, TMG, gf/cf diet, probiotics, and so forth). The results to date have been outstanding. I suspect (and fervently hope) that there is tremendous parental interest in biomedical interventions for autism, but that most discourse on these subjects takes place on the abmd and chelatingkids2 groups, to which I belong, or others that I'm not aware of. By way of possible explanation, it is difficult for most parents to actively participate in more than a handful of discussion groups while raising an ASD kid, holding a job, etc. But I still hear you! You are not alone in your interest. And I greatly appreciate your commitment to putting biomedical treatments on the agenda and making them available to whatever extent your pharmacy does. If you haven't seen it already, you should check out the recent Environmental Working Group's recent report on Dr. ' research and the emerging science of the " autism = Hg poisoning " hypothesis. See http://www.ewg.org/reports/autism/execsumm.php Let me know if there's something in particular you want to discuss. Would be glad to.
