Definitely ask the Doc his opinion. If the Ctoma is small then it may not grow large enough to do enough damage and maybe you could postpone. Whatever you do, don't get water in the ear cause water is miracle grow for the tumor as it encourages the infection. Your son could wear one of those ear protection helmets when he wrestles too. I wouldn't want my ear to connect with the mat and bacteria. A CWD means there is less bone density in your ear so there is a greater chance of conduction loss. It will take a while to see where the hearing level stabalizes at. moms_a_nurse <jcarl22@...> wrote: I know what you are going through, we have worked surgery recovery time around football and summers with swimming. My other son is a wrestler and I know what this must mean to your son. Sometimes the foul smell is from a psuedomonous sp? type infection and the doc prescribed drops. But as a mom, you always have the feeling that it is back. Talk with your doctor, they may be able to work around wrestling.
