Guest guest
I just got back from our appointment with the new doctor. I love this guy. #1 he was fantastic with my son and #2 He explained things extraodinarily well. Not to say that the ENT was bad just not as knowledgable. The bad news is that he explained more of the C-scan to me since I haven't seen it. He said it is large and the ear canal (or middle ear?) was full as was the mastoid bone I was holding out hope that it wasn't in the bone but better to know now than find out after surgery. Also the bones are 99% chance gone judging by his hearing loss. He will still perform a CWU unless necessay, Not so sure on the chances or what make the chances good/bad of needing a CWD. Our surgery will be rescheduled. I'm waiting for that call back. I got to see it which was kind of cool. I did not realize it was visible. Question: What happens when it is a canal wall down? I know I will look it up but personal experiences mean more to me than medical jumbo. I'm relieved to know more specific information and am VERY comfortable with this dr. Guest guest
Don't get too hung up on CWD vs CWU. You can get good results with both, in terms of hearing and need for on going care. All you need is someone who knows what to do depending upon the situation they find. Best of luck > > I just got back from our appointment with the new doctor.
