Guest guest
Ok denial time is over. My daughter's second surgery is next Wednesday. I am scared to put a 'metal' plate in her head. I trust this doctor implicitly but this whole thing scares the life out of me! Will this surgery be 'easier' to recover from? How soon after surgery will she likely be able to hear 'normally' again? This was a congenital cholesteoma - does this mean she will always be prone to them? Any other words to the wise? One thing we learned from last surgery is she reacts strongly to tylenol with codeine. Almost gives her hallucinations. Looking foward to that again! I know there can be much worse things to happen to a child (or anyone for htat matter) but this just seems so surreal.
