Guest guest
Well We are now one day post op! Unlike others he has had alot of pain but I knew after his tube and biopsy that he had a low tolerance to pain. I made this widely known at the hospital yesterday and they were all wonderful about it. They took special care to make sure he wasn't in any pain. The anesth. was fantastic. He said he had to give him more than most kids due to his pain in the operating room (thank god for the purple drink so he doesn't remember) His was very large and the 3 bones were completely eroded and his mastoid is all gone. Thankfully it was not near the balance center and his footplate was ok. Unfortunately it had gone through the skull and you could see the lining of the brain according to the surgeon but he also said it would grow back . We didn't have to stay overnight and have gotten 2 calls to make sure everything is ok.One from his nurse at the hospital and the other from the nurse at the dr's clinic. I am so amazed at kids healing abilities. He isn't up much but he hasn't slept at all today! Ok so he did sleep all day yesterday lol. Please excuse any typos as I am very very tired...
