Guest guest
If you are thinking about Selecting a DAN Physician for your child, here are some tips: Before making an appointment it is best to ask many questions about the physician. No directory list anywhere can be as thorough as you can be. The same would apply for any physician in consideration in any situation. You must feel comfortable with the physician before making any decisions regarding your child's care. These DAN physicians are your assistant in helping your child. It isn't like the old days where the physician was the authority. You the parent, are the authority and you can choose to follow his percription or not. It is best to do the research yourself and know what everything is and is about before proceding with any treatments. You will feel much more comfortable knowing what the treatments are about and what all your options are. The same goes for any information on this listserv as everything is your choice in any recommendations. We're here for your assistance, you are the authority for your own family. You can find information about treating autism in the book "Treating Autism, 31 parent stories of hope and success" There are also many other books available about autism treatments.
