Guest guest
Hi Everyone, We need at least ten more people to vote on the dietary poll, See original message below if you weren't aware of the poll. This is poll is open to people who had a child on the GFCF diet for awhile with good results or who have extended the childs diet to adding anther diet such as Feingold and SCD, who had good results for awhile on with GFCF and needed to add more help to the diet, part 3 has a part about added other diets on the poll. If you have had a child on the GFCF for at least 2 months and have had good results even if you've moved onto a more extensive diet like the SCD but still keep to GF/CF we would love to have you vote on our poll. This poll is to help a graduate student who is majoring in Dietary Nutrition learn more about how the GFCF diet is helping our children with autism. (See her letter below if you didnt see the original post.) We can also use this poll for newbie parents if they are considering the diet. * If you need a temporary ID and password for to vote on our site write to n at: DMHelmick1@... you may also forward or cross-post this to any other group that may wish to help. Original Message: A Graduate students who is majoring in Nutrition needs our help to finish her Master's Thesis and she is focusing on the GFCF diet. Will you help by doing a parent poll based on survey that she put together to help with her studies. Here is her letter and below her letter will be the links to the poll that is in 3 parts. Dear Parent, My name is Annette Puglisi and I am a graduate student in Human Nutrition and Foods at West Virginia University. I am also agraduate assistant at the Center for Excellence in Disabilities in town. I am currently working on my Master’sthesis, which deals with autistic children that are or have been on the glutenfree casein free diet. You may have seen information either in books, on the internet, or from professional, etc aboutthis diet. However, the effectiveness of this diet is still currentlyunavailable. The proper research has not been done to scientifically state whether this elimination diet can improve your child’s autistic behaviors or,provide your child with the proper nutrition for growth and development.Research on this topic has been promising thus far, however do the benefits oft this diet outweigh the hassles?..Thank you, Annette ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thanks for voting in our polls.
