Guest guest
>I did a saliva test a couple of weeks ago. It indicated that immune system> is depressed and that my adrenals are failing. Which doctors will do this test? I currently see a regular doctor as well as a hematologist as I have low platelets. They recently got so low that I was put back on Prednisone last week. I'm hoping that the Pred will bring the levels back up. I hate pred but they said if I get into a car accident I would bleed to death. I'm slowly working on changing my lifestyle habits to be healthier. So the Pred can raise the platelets and then I'll just have to work at keeping them up - not raising them. Guest guest
My chiro did mine. Well, I actually took the test home and did the saliva test throughout the day and then sent it in. He just gave me my results. ----- Original Message ----- From: health Sent: Wednesday, August 18, 2004 9:32 AM Subject: Re: Adrenals/Cleanse >I did a saliva test a couple of weeks ago. What is your diet like at the moment? What are you drinking on a daily basis and how much? What are you eating? Parsley leaf/root tea is very good for the adrenals. Ginseng and ginger are very good for adrenal support too. As is licorice. Best to cut out all caffeinated beverages, any sodas, dairy, and cut out as much stress in your life as you can. Take up yoga, tai chi, meditation or something to help with stress. Seriously examining your diet and making necessary changes can help in rebuilding your immune system and adrenals. Even if you do the cleanse you are still going to have to address your diet and lifestyle issues. Otherwise you will be right back where you started from. From my perspective it would be better to address your diet and lifestyle first. Make the necessary changes there and then do the cleanse when you are in better condition to do it. Just my thoughts . You really do need to kick the sugar as it will not only suck your energy dry, but will completely disble your immune system for several hours after eating it. Using raw dairy is much better for you than the alternative. But you really will be better quitting the dairy as well. It only makes your body more acidic and you don't want that. You want to go the other way in order to boost your immune system and keep the rest of your organs in good shape including your adrenals.
