Guest guest
I'm a 46 yr old female that was born with a hearing defect. I have had many middle ear infections and regular ear infections all my life. None of my children have my defect and grew up a normal life. My Ossicles and Cochlea near grew right and I have pin holes in my middle ears. 4 1/2 years ago I had reconstruction surgery done on my left ear because I couldn't hear a thing out of it. And new synthetic material was used. Well I found out 2 months ago this Material has shifted and has to be removes cause cholesteatoma is setting in both my ears and they have to me fixed and cleaned out real good. The first surgery is sometime next month and they're going in to correct the left ear's mishap and clean out the right ear that cholesteatoma is setting in till it gets to bad. I have read all the email's on the parents with children with my problem. PLEASEEE I urge you to take care of it now so they don't get as bad as I am.. I wear a hearing aide in my right ear and have done so since I was 14 yrs of age.
