Guest guest
Hey Lori, My husband woke up last February with the same thing and the doctors still don't know for sure what's going on. They've come up with a myriad of theories, but nothing concrete. He's due to see his neurologist in a few weeks..... Be sure to let your doctor know so at the very least it gets documented. Also, don't let them tell you it's nothing...My husbands neurologist feels he may have had a "mild" stroke....from what he told us there are several different types and not all of them have a distinctive start and/or stop....Needless to say, like a volcano in the rumbling stages, my husband may still be "having a stroke".... It started out in his head and neck region, them migrated down his right arm all the way to his right foot..... Please let us know what you learn from your doctors.....And Good Luck Neck Pain? I have a Cholesteatoma. The Dr's discovered it about 5 years ago. Through the years I have learned to adapt to the hearing loss and the ringing of the ears. However, I have been having severe neck pain for about the last 2 months and recently woke up to a pronounced hearing loss and facial numbness. I was just wondering if anyone with a Cholesteatoma has also had the symptom of neck pain? Thanks, Lori Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Search. That's the eighth cranial which runs through your ear. It has many branches which are responsible for all movement and sensation from you forehead down to your shoulder on the appropriate ear side.So what tends to happen is that you get stiffness or pain reflected throughout your face, neck jaw, and shoulder. Eventualy it can feel like your whole face is shutting down. You can also start loss of movement or control around your mouth and your eye and probably bad headaches too. They're things to watch out for. But removing the stoma should sort those things out. Phil
Guest guest
-- Have you had your C-toma removed or have they chosen to just watch it??? Guest guest
I have not had mine removed as yet. I am trying to hold off until the summer ( I am a teacher). I really do not think I can wait that long now because of all the trouble I am having at the present time, I seem to develop additional symptoms each week. Never miss a thing. Make your homepage. Guest guest
-Lori, I think that you will need to get it removed as soon as possible it can grow into your facial nerve and that can cause paraylsis in your face, or it can also grow thru the bone that seperates the mastoid cavity from your brain which then allows the C-toma to get into your brain and that can lead to a whole host of problems that you dont want. I would try to get to your ENT as soon as possible. Good luck!!!! Lori Seymour, IN- - In cholesteatoma , lori garrett <loribell59@...> wrote: > > I have not had mine removed as yet.
