Louise,

It's hard to explain what I mean by the "waves". I'm not taking about

soundwaves to the ear, I'm referring to a sensation of movement in my

head. Sometimes it feels like electrical shocks.-I went to the

emergency because of it twice. Thank God one of the doctors knew what I

was talking about because she had experienced them herself. In her case

it was caused by a pinched nerve in her neck...but she thought I might

have a fistula. I had 3 CT scans done and it did not show a c-toma or

fistula. I'm still looking for someone to shed light on it..

Hi Elke

What do you mean by waves? I've started having this problem with my

left ear where the sound comes in waves or pounds but it doesn't do it

all the time. It's mainly when I'm in a car but it is getting to be

annoying and starting to make my head ache.

I don't tend to get as much pain as I used to but there is still some,

especially from the ear that had the surgery in 2006. It is very

tender around the scar still.

I hope everything goes alright for you.

Hi Elke

That sounds awful, you must be so fed up with it. Fingers crossed that

the surgery sorts it out. There seems to be so many different symptons

out there!

Good luck.
