Guest guest
My 6 yo had his second look/reconstruction surgery in November. He was back to school and all activities within 4 weeks. His second surgery was done through the ear canal, so incision healing was minimal. At the post op appt. with the surgeon, he noticed that the cartilage (used to anchor the prosthetic) had slipped slightly, but was not causing any problems. I don't know if extra recovery time would have made a difference, or if it would have slipped through normal day to day movement. That would be a question for the doctor. At the very least, my son felt just fine within a day of the surgery- a relief to this Mom! > > Hi Everyone, > My son 8 years is having his second look, possible > reconstruction January 24th.
