Congratulations, Jan, on the -81 pounds! I continue to take my Protonix

because I am on an anti-inflammatory medication. I think the heartburn/GERD

issue

varies from patient. I can say that the GERD is much improved!

Hugs and blessings, Ann

I still take my daily prilosec. I can't live without it. By the afternoon

if I don't take it, I feel the heartburn coming on. I think it's the type

foods we eat after that keeps the need for prilosec going. Sorry,

Jan in Indiana

===============================

Jan...congrats on the great weightloss!

I took prilosec before surgery...had to have it or I would be

barfing stomach acid big time....After surgery I only had to take it

for one month....for the last 2 1/2 years I have been prilosec,

heartburn, acid reflux free. From the people I have talked with

Most are able to get off meds like prilosec within the first couple

months postop. Note: Prilosec needs to be weaned off.

I'm sorry to hear that for you...the need for prilosec still

presents itself.

Kimi,

If you have a high temp that is a big warning sign alone, especially if you're done with the antibiotics. If I were you I'ld get checked for an infection, especially if now you have new nosebleeds.

Good luck, My thoughts are with you.

I agree with the other posts: if you have a very very high temperature rather than just a low grade fever, get medical advice straight away.

Hi all,

I'm currently 8 days post -op. I have been feeling pretty good , I only

took 3 pain pills after surgery and have had only a mild degree of

dizziness. Yesterday I went to the surgeon who removed the outer packing

of my ear. He told me to start taking ciprodex drops to start dissolving

the packing in the inside. Shortly after I put in the drops this AM , I

developed a sharp ear ache and I have been feeling a lot more dizzy...

Could you please tell me if this is a normal development? Should I

contact my doctor if it continues?

thanks

Elke

I would thnk you may want to contact your doctor and at least let him know. I dont recall any pain from ear drops from either of the surgeries i have had.

The last office visit I had the doctor was mentioning that if he put

drops in my ear while I still had the hole in there from the tube that

I would be extremely dizzy, because of the drops in the middle ear. I

don't know if that would happen with the ciprodex too or not. I never

hurts to call your doc.

Hi Elke

I have used the cipro drops several times in the last year. They only

make me feel dizzy if I don't warm them up first. This is because I

have no eardrum, and the change of temperature can cause dizziness. I

don't remember my ear hurting from the drops though. I'd suggest

contacting your dr. just to be of the safe side.

Jackie
