Guest guest
My son's doctor told him to put a saline solution in his ears to see if he tastes the salt. Is this common for doctors to tell patients? My son is 20 years old and had his surgery a little over a year ago. I thought it was bad to get water in the ear, so why would this be used? Thanks. Guest guest
Strange - I had surgery Sept. 25, 2008 and my doctor several weeks ago gave me the clear that it is okay to get water in my ear from the shower and swimming, etc. since my eardrum is patched and healed leaving no hole in my eardrum. To me it would be a red flag to find another doctor that is an otologist.
