You're are such an inspiration to us all, especially the Indiana girls!! I've done the same, buying a new size everytime I go shopping........ just can't resist Zoe!! I have lots of friends smaller and bigger than me, so hopefully I can give them all a bunch of cothes when I reach goal! LOL My best too you, Dearie, see you this summer !(?) Your buddy, Trude Re: Bethie Hey Flo, long time no chat...sounds like you are doing great...Where has been??? I have lost 135 pounds and feel like I probably have another 10 or so to go before I level off ...How do we stabilize?? does it just quit or do we pick up on the eating..I feel as though we are entering another stage of learning..Boy what a year this has been..To my fellow MGBer who cannot resist buying all the clothes she tries on, a word of caution here, be careful, I spent a bundle of money on each size, 18, 16, 14, 12, 10 and now 8 and 6...I gave my sister a bunch of bra's and panties, she was delighted and I just could see the dollar signs on how much I had wasted...I don't guess it is really wasted she is having a ball with them...although my buying has leveled off..lol..but everything just looked so great I could not resist..I am now trying to find a bathing suit with long sleeves..lol...these batwings are ridiculous ...I was going to have my chin fixed and decided to buy a Durango so now we call the Durango, " The Chin " ..anyway, if I had that done then I would want all the other stuff done and I am not really upset with my looks, panty hose can do wonders..OK so I have rattled on enough...Take care everyone and we will see most of you at the Picnic... Guest guest
I have stages like that, they will last about a week. It usually coincides with PMS, but not always. it is scary. I am down to 134-146, and I haven't gained any weight (well, 2 lbs on a cruise, but lost it right away) but it is scary the appetite I have! it seems like sometimes I can eat more, and if I do I always freak out, but then the next day I get full very quickly. SO - that makes me realize that my stomach must not be stretching, or I wouldn't get full so quickly the majority of the time. This is how I have figured it . .. . regular people can eat pizza. They usually eat about 2 slices for a serving - HOWEVER there are times they are so hungry they eat 4 or more slices. they may get a yucky feeling, but they were able to eat it. Just like we eat normal dinners, but on Thanksgiving, everyone eats 3 times what they eat normally. I think even though our pouches are smaller, it is the same principal. Does that make sense to anyone else? I am interested to see how anyone else is doing a year or 2 out, and if we all have this happen. (I am about 20 months post-op) I know I stress-ate as well as emotional-ate befoer surgery, and I tend to have weaknesses there, but as I said - the amounts (while they seem big to me with my little pouch) are still much much much less then what I ate when stressed or emotional before! good Lord are they ever!!!! haha : ) allison
