probably, but good bacon is a lot more expensive than salt side <G> ..My heavens.. how chinzty can i get! why not!!?? try it next time!. when i think of bacon i think of maple flavored smoked etc etc, and hadn't thought of using it as a remedy. Salt solutions are very good for many things, like eye wash, washing sores, femmenin cleansings, sniffing for sinus problems and so on...

Subject: Splinters and salty bacon

Hi Granny Lee,Perhaps they could add salt to the regular bacon and have the same effect?Baugh***************

salt pork, like what we called salt side, sow belly or 'jowls'. I don't think regular sliced thin bacon is really salty enough. Also some people now-a-days, if the spliter is not totally emerced in the flesh, can take a piece of adhesive tape and use it like they do with the new tape thingie they use on noses to pull out blackheads. the tape is really effective for cactus spines.granny lee ----- Original Message -----

From: Candace Podratz <mailto:CandaceAndBrock@...> So you just take a piece of bacon and wrap it around a sliver and it'll take it out??? A regular piece of bacon?Candace-----
