Guest guest
I pray that God will be with all the families and victims. Joni, I'm sorry for the loss of your friend! Unfortunately, I did. Eddie Dillard was the husband of the flight attendant Base Manager in Washington, DC. Rosemary Dillard use to work in Seattle with me and Carl and I went to the racetrack and had dinner with them last year. Eddie was a passenger on American 77 which crashed into the Pentagon. Please say a prayer for Eddie and his family. I also got an update on what happend in the cabin on at least one of our flights. The terrorists were cutting the flight attendants throats as well as the female passengers. This was reported via cell phone. This is like being caught in a Tom Clancy novel. A nightmare. Heaven help this World. Joni >>
Guest guest
I also knew someone on one of the flights. I taught with his mother and he was valedictorian in the school where I taught. He worked in the Pentagon, and believe it or not, he was IN the plane that crashed into the Pentagon! He was a genius. He had only been married for a year. Our television had a program last night with his father. I feel so sorry for them. I think he was their only child. Every church in Tyler, and that is many, has had special prayer meetings, staying open continiously for people to come in and pray, there have been two downtown prayer meetings on our courthouse square, the high schools are having prayer around the flagpoles, and people are meeting together in homes, businesses, schools, to pray. Here in the Bible belt many people are very serious about prayer. Last night my church had about 1500 for prayer. We prayed in groups of 4-6, holding hands and praying aloud. It was a very toughing service. Pat Re: Prayers for Eddie Dillard Joni, That is terrible!! This is such a tragedy, I cannot believe all that has happened to these innocent victims...My prayers go out to all those brave men and women who died for this country!!! , still in shock On Wed, 12 Sep 2001 19:53:16 EDT jonigra@... writes: > I was hoping I wouldn't know anyone on either of the American > Airlines > flights that crashed yesterday. Guest guest
Pat, That is so sad. To lose someone that young in such a sudden and terrible way. Prayer is our lifeline right now and the unity of this nation is already astounding!!! This horrible event has brought together a stunned and grieving nation and strengthened us in ways that were not there before. These people who began this are going to learn what patriotism and unity means here in the U.S.A!! , stunned and grieving for and with all those who had losses and were lost...
